HFTH operates from its headquarters offices at 1035 Donnelly Avenue, SW Atlanta 30310. This location houses the administrative offices and food bank, clothing centers, job training class rooms, and serves as an organizing hub for the dinners. It also houses the operational departments. As an example, A few of our department and function are shown below.

This department also prepares the food baskets that we distribute to others on a daily basis and services the shelters and transitional houses and organizations that we send food and supplies to weekly.

Food Serving Line: Receives food at dinner locations; organizes and implements serving line and table service including receiving and disseminating all paper goods and serving utensils; organizes volunteers at dinner locations on the serving line and those who serve the tables.

Responsible for taking donations around the city on a daily basis and transporting clients to and from classes and other activities.

Volunteers: Solicits and assigns some 3,000 volunteers for dinner functions throughout the planning, implementation and close out of the event; create and maintains a data base of volunteers; staffs the volunteer registration table at the dinner; monitors shift changes and services all departmental volunteer needs.

Media & Public Relations: Identifies and establishes a relationship with media sources including newspapers, cable systems, television, and radio for the purpose of disseminating ads, PSAs, articles and photographs; interacts with media sources that want to be sponsors; coordinates tradeoffs, radio-a-thons and live fundraising broadcasts; develops lists of community resources that have contacts with hungry people and those who can help raise funds or disseminate information; writes press releases and copy for letters, brochures and other marketing materials; produces radio and television spots featuring major personalities.

Special Events and Entertainment: Books bands, trios, vocalists and others who perform at the dinners and at HFTH special events year-round.
